Important notes

The EEBG 2026 workshop will welcome approximately 40 in-person students, 100 on-line students, and about a dozen distinguished international faculty from leading institutions in genomics, bioinformatics, medicine, and biology. The workshop is directed and coordinated by a local organizing committee at Jagiellonian University, with sessions led by internationally recognized scientists and educators specialized in modern genomic methods, bioinformatics analyses, and their applications to medicine, biology, and interdisciplinary research.

Participants will receive hands-on training in computational tools, pipelines, and modern approaches for genomic data analysis. The sessions will include interactive computational exercises, practical demonstrations, and insightful evening presentations by invited speakers sharing their cutting-edge research. While much of bioinformatics and genomic analysis is conducted digitally, the EEBG 2026 faculty will offer valuable real-world insights and personal experiences, engaging actively with students throughout the course. Students will gain exposure to ongoing research efforts and methodological advancements directly from prominent international experts.

The cost of participation in EEBG 2026 covers tuition, course materials, and access to all workshops and lectures, coffee breaks and lunches during the workshop days as well as accomodation in hostel. Limited fellowships for qualifying in-person attendees are available after their acceptance. Detailed cost information, including the final registration fee, will be communicated upon successful application.

Application for EEBG 2026 is a competitive selection process. The EEBG committee will review your submitted application, and qualified applicants will receive a formal acceptance letter.

You are not required to pay any fees before receiving your acceptance notification. Upon acceptance, participants will be expected to confirm their attendance and submit payment by the date indicated in the acceptance notification, after which placement will be offered to the next candidate on the waiting list.

The Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology (MCB) at Jagiellonian University, Kraków, has extensive experience in organizing and hosting high-profile international conferences, scientific workshops, and educational programs, positioning it as an ideal venue to facilitate EEBG 2026’s collaborative and educational goals.
